Stranger Things’ Joseph Quinn Is Human Torch In Fantastic 4 Fan Art

New MCU fan art imagines Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn in the role of Fantastic 4’s Johnny Storm, otherwise known as the Human Torch.

New Marvel Cinematic Universe fan art pictures Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn as the Fantastic Four‘s Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch. One of 2022’s biggest breakout stars, Quinn blew audiences away as the instantly loveable Eddie Munson in this summer’s long-awaited Stranger Things season 4. The leader of Hawkins High School’s Hellfire Club suffered a turbulent time across season 4, with his heroic decision to bait a hoard of demobats ultimately leading to one of the show’s most heart-wrenching deaths.

Since this standout performance, audiences have been curious as to what’s next for the actor, with many hoping to see Quinn make the leap over to another major franchise, should the Stranger Things writers chose to ignore the intense social media campaigns to bring Eddie Munson back in season 5. With Marvel Studios having recently announced its exciting upcoming Phase 5 and 6 slate, all eyes are on the casting of one particular project, which looks set to have a big impact on the future of the MCU: the Fantastic Four movie. The Fantastic Four have had two notable past iterations, though neither take place within the MCU timeline, and with confirmation that a new Fantastic Four is due to arrive in late 2024, fan-casting for the team has already begun.

Earlier this year, the MCU well and truly proved that fan-castings do not go unnoticed, after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness featured Earth-838’s variant of Reed Richards. John Krasinski took on the role as the smartest man alive after years of similar fan-edits appearing across social media. With many excited to see this new Fantastic Four team take shape, a number of other names have been thrown in the mix for the role of Johnny Storm, including Zac Efron, Outer Banks‘ Rudy Pankow and even Quinn’s Stranger Things co-star, Joe Keery. With no castings having been confirmed for any of the Fantastic Four members at this stage, it’s possible that this fan art could come to fruition.

For those who had been hoping to see Quinn step into this exciting role, this art offers a clear glimpse at what this potential scenario could look like. For those who didn’t have the actor on their radar, the Stranger Things/Fantastic Four crossover piece is also likely to inspire some people’s ‘dream castings,’ as it’s fair to say that the actor certainly suits the role, at least from a visual standpoint. For now, whether the Stranger Things star will shortly be stepping into a whole new universe in Fantastic Four remains to be seen, and while this exciting fan casting may or may not come to be, that’s not to say that there won’t be a place for him in the MCU at some point in the future.
